way. Great Shape Inc. is gearing up for the second annual “1000 Smiles!” Dinner Party and Auction. Join us for Caribbean food, live and silent auctions, trip giveaways and live music. The fundraiser is Saturday, July 8th from 6pm-11pm at Eden Farm in Ashland, OR. $100 tickets are good for dinner, drink and 1 in 500 chance to win an all inclusive vacation in Jamaica.

This is an opportunity to raise money for two volunteer projects in Jamaica. Great Shape Inc. is partnering with Smile Power International and Sandals Resorts to offer free dental care for thousands of Jamaican families. There is only ONE dentist for every 80,000 people in Jamaica. Gum disease and tooth decay can cause problems including heart disease, low-birth weight, even death. Most Jamaicans have never seen a dentist. They often chew on sugar cane to stave off hunger and this just increases tooth decay.

Our volunteers are dental professionals and just good Samaritans. We’ll provide teeth cleaning, extractions, sealants, prevention education and plenty of supplies.

Our volunteers come from the Rogue Valley and around the nation. You can help too. You can join us at the fundraiser or volunteer for one of the two humanitarian trips to Jamaica in the fall.
