The 2020 Jamaica Gospel Song winner, Treisha Williams has recently released her newest single, Lift Up Your Vessels, across all major music streaming platforms. The upbeat Reggae praise song marks Treisha’s debut as a recognized Gospel artiste since winning the famed competition in August this year.
“When it come to Jesus mi wanga belly, dis yah cravin yah nuh ordinary, when it come to Jesus mi greedy bad, cause me desire more of the Blessed God,” Williams croons powerfully in her song which has already garnered attention on the local Gospel scene.
“This single is not my first, but it is my first since winning the competition, it’s kind of a refocus for me, a new beginning where music is concerned,” Treisha said.
“The song is about being open to be filled by God through praise and worship. It seeks to allow us to look at ourselves as containers that can be poured into by God, if you hunger or thirst in any area of your life. I just wanted to remind people that they can be filled because the blessings of the Lord maketh you rich, and there is no limitations to the blessings of God,” she continued.
When prompted, Treisha admitted that song is a part of an EP, which is in the works, but she is currently focused on promoting this single.
“With this song, I wanted to create a happy place for people, especially as many are going through a tough time. This song should bring hope, and it should bring a sense of joy and peace to anybody listening. It’s a song that you can rock and dance to, yet it has a very solid and powerful message,” Treisha said.
Lift Up Your Vessels, which is produced by popular Jamaican Gospel producer Rhon Matthison, is currently available for download and streaming on popular music streaming platforms: iTunes, Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, Youtube Music, Feeder and I Heart Radio.
