“A Soh It Goh!” Author Joelle Cohen Wright will be featured on Jamaican Radio Station, RJR 94FM

For more than a decade, Joelle “Wendy” Cohen Wright, hilarious Jamaican interpretations of major news stories and current events have been entertaining readers across the globe. A diverse writer of poems, short sketches, and parodies, Joelle, set out on a journey to pen and publisher first a collection of character – driven sketches entitled, “A Soh Wi Do It!”  That was followed by the hilarious comeback, “A Soh It Goh!”  The books portray the humorous, assertive and sometimes contentious personalities of Jamaicans, using colloquial expressions and mannerisms intrinsic to the culture of Jamaica.

Joelle is gearing up for a major launch of both books hosted by Sangster’s Bookstore Limited, slated for October 13th at the Mall Plaza in Constant Spring, Jamaica. Radio Jamaica will air an exclusive interview on RJR 94FM’s, “Morning Guest Room” program in early October. The author will chat with radio host, Paula-Anne Porter Jones, about her bestselling books and her literary contribution to Jamaican culture.

Joelle “Wendy” Cohen Wright was raised in Kingston, Jamaica and is fast becoming one of the Caribbean’s well-loved comedy writers. With her irrepressible sense of humor and a flair for dramatics, Joelle’s writing style has the right comedic timing that is sure to induce laughter through her storytelling abilities in Jamaican patois.
