The independently produced film, The Heart of Summer, made its world premiere at the prestigious American Black Film Festival (ABFF) on June 23, 2013. The film attracted hundreds of film goers which resulted in standing room only at the famous Colony Theater in Miami Beach, FL., on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Well-known Hollywood actress, Jo Marie Payton (Family Matters) beams as she reflects on the successful screening.
In addition to laughter, the well produced film had movie goers drying tears as sniffles could be heard throughout the theater. The Heart of Summer is directed by Jamaican-born filmmaker, Adrian Allen, and is produced by iNation Pictures, a subsidiary of Steadyimage, Inc., in association with Driven Network.
