On Friday November 28th, Reggae star Omari Banks took the stage in Anguilla for an unprecedented performance to a sold out crowd and to the entire world via a television broadcast and live internet stream to officially premiere the video for his hit single “No Point To Prove”.
Backed by the melodious riddims of his own “Eleven” band and the sweet sounds of his harmony singers, Omari Banks captivated his audience and quenched their musical thirst when the star gave reggae music lovers fifty minutes of musical bliss. Belting his hits “Move On”, “I’ve Seen It All”, “Prince of Darkness”, “Jehovah Message” which featured his talented cousin Lateef Banks, “Runaround”, Omari kept the audience engaged and rocking. He then proceeded with a touching tribute to his daughter with “Somaiya” and “Unafraid”. Omari brought down the house when he ended his performance by bringing international reggae star Peetah Morgan of world renowned Morgan Heritage on stage to perform the lead single from his upcoming 2015 “Move On” Deluxe Edition Album, the hit single “No Point To Prove”.
Concert goers ranging from political notables such as Candice Niles director of tourism of Anguilla, sports figures like renowned Cricket Coach Cardigan Connor, entertainers the likes of world renowned violinist Lee England JR, and fans alike were exhilarated, sang along and danced as the sweet sound of “No Point To Prove” resonated across the sky. By all accounts a timeless classic song was born that night. Adding to the stellar evening, patrons were also treated to performances by St. kitts artist Infamous and Anguilla’s own True Intentions.
Still reeling from the excitement, worldwide fans were then treated to the video premiere which has garnered over 3 thousand views in 24 hours on youtube. Directed by Kerro and Produced by BigBankomusic and Keynote records, “No Point To Prove” video was filmed in Jamaica in Kingston at very familiar locations like Sabina Park, Jamaican newspaper The Observer and Down town New Kingston, and features cameo appearances by Jamaican and West Indies crickets like Wavell Hinds, Carlton Baugh jr ,Tamar Lambert and Dave Bernaud JR, as well Reggae stars like Gramps Morgan and Dancehall/reggae Artiste Cecile.

On his fifth birthday Anguillan born Singer/ Songwriter Omari Banks took the stage in Milan, Italy at Club Zimba to sing alongside his father Bankie Banx and has not left the stage since. By the age of ten he had won multiple talent shows as a singer and was a confident guitar player.
As a teenager his attention turned to the sport of cricket, where he excelled first locally, then regionally and then ultimately on the world stage. As a twenty year old, Omari shined bright on the largest stage in test cricket as he played a pivotal role in the greatest second-inning comeback in test cricket history. Throughout his successful twelve year professional cricket career, Omari seemed to always excel on the largest stages.
