Adidas Grand Prix Announces Jetblue Airwars As Official Airline

The adidas Grand Prix, the nation’s premier outdoor track & field invitational meet, announced that JetBlue Airways has signed on to serve as the Official Airline. The partnership presents an opportunity for JetBlue to introduce its award-winning JetBlue experience and superior customer service to the international event’s diverse spectator base.

With one of the most impressive lineups of global stars ever assembled in the United States, the adidas Grand Prix promises to be one of the most exciting events of the summer. So far tickets have been purchased by thousands of spectators traveling from 36 states and 14 countries. The event is expected to sell out.

“JetBlue is proud to be a growing part of the Caribbean community,” said Robin Hayes, Chief Commercial Officer of New York-based JetBlue Airways. “We are happy to support the event and its participants and give them a comfortable ride to New York complete with the very needed extra legroom, unlimited free snacks and drinks, free entertainment on personal seatback TVs and the friendliest service in the skies, so they can arrive rested and ready to perform at their best.”

Additionally, JetBlue will assist with air travel for the more than 75 Olympians, including at least 30 Olympic and World champions, hailing from 25 countries, who are expected to compete. Jamaican sprint sensation Veronica Campbell-Brown, Dominican Republic’s Olympic champion Felix Sanchez and American stars Allyson Felix and Bernard Lagat are among the top athletes announced for the meet.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to partner with JetBlue Airways,” said Mark Wetmore, meet director for the adidas Grand Prix. “We have found that when bringing athletes to the New York area, JetBlue’s reach and service makes them the preferred choice of our world-class athletes and fan base.”
