The Ramapo Town Board and the Town of Ramapo African Heritage Twinning Committee invite everyone to join with them for the 20th Annual celebration of African Heritage Night on Wednesday, February 27, 8 pm, Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Rte. 59, Suffern, New York.
“The Town Board is very proud of its 125,000 residents. One of its goals is to promote ethnic harmony. At the beginning of some of the Town Board Meetings, the Town Board highlights the contributions made by the different nationality groups who live in our town,” said Supervisor Christopher St Lawrence.
The JAMCCAR Steel Drum Band, EKKLIPSE, will delight everyone with their Caribbean music.
A fabulous cultural program will follow.
President of the African Heritage Twinning Committee, Chief Nii Lantei Lamptey, will welcome all.
Twelve outstanding individuals will be honored by the Ramapo Town Board.
A delicious taste of African, Caribbean, and Southern foods will be served following the cultural program. It is all free and open to the public!
