The Government of Jamaica in collaboration with Jamaican Consulate General in New York, will be hosting an investment seminar on opportunities in Jamaica’s agricultural sector on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Jamaican Consulate General in New York City. Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, adn his team, will be presenting a number of investment opportunities to a select group of investors. Minister Tufton will also entertain one on one discussions with interested investors following the presentation.
Jamaica’s outstanding performance at teh Beijing Olympics brought new focus on Jamaican food, in particular, yams and tubers which in some quarters, was credited for Usain Bolt’s meteoric and historic achievements. We therefore invite you to this investment seminar which will focus on opportunities related, to yam and other tuber crops, post harvest processing and greenhouse technology.
