April 1, 1969 Air Jamaica’s first flight—a twin-jet DC-9 with around 90 passengers and crew—departed the Norman Manley International Airport for Miami. This signaled the beginning of Air Jamaica’s 40-year legacy as the National Carrier, connecting Jamaica to the world.
On behalf of the Air Jamaica family, I would like to invite you and family, friends, and associates to join us at a special Thanksgiving Service to be held Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m., at the Christway Baptist Church, 3800 South Douglas Road, Miramar, FL 33025.
We look forward to having you join us as we celebrate this milestone in Jamaica’s history.
