The Coalition to Preserve Reggae Music joins the world in celebrating the 118th birthday of one of Africa’s greatest kings, His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, today, July 23rd, 2010.

Join us on Saturday, October 30th when we mark the 80th anniversary of the coronation of His Majesty and Empress Menen at the annual Reggae Culture Salute. Reggae Culture Salute celebrates the unique relationship between Reggae, Rasta, Emperor Selassie and Jamaica. Reggae Culture Salute is a multimedia presentation comprised of film, slide presentations, nyahbinghi drumming, tributes to His Majesty and Empress Menen and live performances (artists to be announced later).
