Marlon Smith, A.K.A Seek is no stranger to the world of music. Being the first born for both parents and growing up in downtown Kingston Jamaica the exposure to music was plentiful. During his younger years Seek spend some time living in the country with his grandparents in Clarendon. His insight to music came while he was living in the country with them at age 13, but never grabbed a hold of him till he was about 15-16. Writing songs started out as workshop fun while learning Woodworking at a furniture shop call Eastwood Furnishing out by Windward Rd.

In 1997 Seek joined a non profit organization called The Area Youth Foundation. In 2000 he entered the JCDC Jamaica popular song competition and received second place, with a song titled “We Can” co-written with Marlon King Winston Bell and Blackka Ellis. He also performed as a duo with Marlon King with the stage name the “The Marlon`s”. In 2001 he again entered the JCDC popular song competition with a song that he wrote entitled “Fi Wi Time” which made it to the Top 10. Seek has done commercials with Cable and Wireless, Grace Mackerel, Digi Cell and Feta car.

When asked about his journey Seek replied “I started mentoring myself through music and as I grew to understand the power of music I made the choice to use it to showcase the spiritual beauty that the universe has given. Music is my Zion place on earth; therefore, when I am in that musical space I try to understand the way in which it uses me so that I can be a better servant of music.”

With his newest release already on the airwaves Seek would like to share it with all his family, friends and fans. Follow Seek on his social networks to watch his movements and support his musical mission.
