The Authentic Caribbean Foundation (ACF) is pleased to announce its collaboration with Generation Grenada Foundation, Inc., (GGF), an organization which seeks to elevate the quality of life of Grenadians and the wider Caribbean community. The Grenada-based GGF is focused on grassroots programming and committed to harnessing the unwavering Grenadian spirit to initiate transformative projects that bolster holistic human capabilities. Its mission is to leverage this spirit to propel initiatives that enhance the lives of those they serve.
ACF, has, over its ten years’ existence, immersed itself in resource and capacity building, spearheading numerous initiatives on a broad spectrum of community needs, while building solid partnerships with like-minded organizations, and community and political leadership across both regions. Much of its work has been focused on the disability community.
The first outreach activity, focused on reducing drop-out rates of young men with the goal of improving their chances of success both personally and professionally, was recently held at the St. Mark’s Secondary School in Grenada. Using the 4 Ms-model, (molding, mentoring, mending and motivating), it is hoped that from it will emerge, positive, affirming messages, inculcating respect, tolerance, acceptance, tenacity, patience, willingness, and progress towards successful outcomes.
“Collectively, we elevate our holistic human capability to deliver sustainable grassroots programming,” said Andrew Sharpe, CEO & Founder of ACF. “These initiatives impact the quality of life in youth development, women’s advancement, and in the empowerment of vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of Grenadians and the broader Caribbean region.”
By fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, both GGF and ACF, envision a future where similar initiatives empower individuals, foster personal growth, and create opportunities for all. They invite individuals, organizations, and partners who share the same commitment to join them on this transformative journey as they set their ambitious plans in action.
