Award Winning Author Gives Back To Youngsters In Trelawny

Award winning author, radio personality and columnist, Sandy Daley, who is basking in the success of her first book, “Whose Vagina Is It, Really?” has now made it her mission to give back to young girls in the parish of her birth in Jamaica.

“I have decided to donate one US dollar from every book sold to an organization for young girls in the parish of Trelawny, Jamaica who help to mentor these women to help them make better choices in life” Daley disclosed.

Her book which is available in Jamaica at Sangster’s Bookstore, Kingston Bookshop, A Different Booklist, and others, has been one of the top-selling books in these stores over the past few months. The book has been met with good reviews from professionals and purchasers who could not put it down.

“I am so happy that people are liking this project and of course, I have not forgotten the reason why I began writing in the first place,” she said.

The Toronto based author heads to Jamaica on Tuesday, August 24th where she will to be a guest on the popular television program “The Susan Show.” Daley will also appear on Irie FM’s Sexwise on August 25th before she returns to North America where she will continue her book tour to other cities in the USA.

“It is wonderful that people have embraced this book the way that they have” says Daley. “It is a wonderful thing when the ladies, who read this book say to me that the book has inspired and moved them to a higher level. They get it,” says Daley happily. “It never was about me, it was about all of us.”
