Bronx Blackbird Club To Pay Homage to Barrington Irving – Saturday June 30th, 2007 , Farmingdale, NY

The Bronx Blackbird will like to inform you of an upcoming 10th year anniversary celebration that is sponsored and held by private pilots who afford children and young adults who dream of flying the opportunity to do so at no cost. Safety demonstrations, tours of the flight control tower and orientation flights are included in the day’s itinerary. Also in this year’s’ celebration, Michael Johnson, President and founder of the Bronx Blackbird Club, congratulates and pays homage to Barrington Irving, 23-year old Jamaican-American senior majoring in aerospace at Florida Memorial University, who embarked on a round the world flight that will make him the first person of African descent and the youngest person ever to fly solo around the globe.
