Barrington Irving returns to South Florida from his historic solo flight around the world — in making his mark as the youngest and first Black person of Jamaican descent to achieve this accomplishment. Born in Jamaica, Barrington grew up in Miami Gardens since he was 6 years old. At age 15, he met Jamaican born United Airlines pilot, Gary Robinson, who exposed him to the world of aviation and changed his blue skies outlook on his future. He is expected to arrive at approximately 10:30am (weather and elements permitting) at Miami Executive Aviation, Opa-Locka Airport. He is expected to be greeted an enthusiastic and sizable attending public. For more information and to donate to the efforts of his emerging non-profit organization, Experience Aviation and the upcoming Gala, visit or contact www.experienceaviation.org. For his homecoming arrival details, call (305) 537-9291.
