Basketball Scholarship for Ricardo Alliman

Ricardo Alliman, a member of the Jamaica U-20 basketball team, left the island on Thursday for the United States on an academic/basketball scholarship at Florida Preparatory Academy in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Alliman, who helped Calabar High School to the KFC/Southern Conference and All Island title earlier this year, was given consideration for the scholarship based on his impressive academic achievements. A member of The National Basketball League team Blazing Panthers, Ricardo graduated with 6 CXC’s and 5 A’ levels.

Like his fellow NBL’ers Orville Perkins, Owain Hall, Ewan Linton and Sheldon Warmington who arrived in the U.S earlier this year, Alliman’s scholarship was secured through the collaborative efforts of the JBA and U.S. based Jamaica Basketball Development, Inc.

The Jamaica Basketball Develop Inc. is comprised of former Jamaican basketball athletes living in the United States.
