Saint Lucia’s Bay Gardens Resorts Ideal For Group Travel, Sports Teams And Charity Events

Bay Gardens Resorts in stunning Saint Lucia have been the perfect getaway for many successful international sports stars, and hosted several events including children’s sports camps and youth charity events. Former NBA superstar and Coach Jerome Kersey recently visited Saint Lucia to both host a youth basketball camp and vacation at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa.

All three properties are located within Saint Lucia’s highly desirable Rodney Bay Village and offer groups access to all three properties with the stay at one, play at three option.

Bay Gardens Beach Resort recently had the honor of hosting the entire West Indies Cricket Team. Omar Khan, the West Indies Cricket Team Manager said that the resort “exceeded expectations.” Mr. Kahn also mentioned that the team will always stay at Bay Gardens Resorts when they visit St. Lucia, and that “it’s one of the best hotels they’ve stayed at,” noting that the staff is very cooperative and always helps with the team’s requests and requirements.

Lance Gibbs, former cricketer of the West Indies team described the Bay Gardens Beach Resort as, “home away from home.” Mr. Gibbs has been a repeat guest to the Bay Gardens Resorts for more than 14 years.

Currently, the Bay Gardens Hotel is hosting a charity sports camp for the Sacred Cows Organization. Various guest speakers and coaches are attending the event, including world-renowned Daley Thompson, UK decathlon legend and Olympic record holder.

Groups of eight or more are offered complimentary transfers from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) to the Bay Gardens Resorts’ properties. JetBlue Airlines new nonstop service from New York (JFK) to Saint Lucia (UVF) is scheduled to begin October 26, 2009.
