Belize’s Tishele finds ‘Solis’ in Jamaican experience

CATHERINE HALL, St James — Belize was unlikely to win a medal or even feature in any finals at the just-concluded 40th LIME CARIFTA Games here at the Montego Bay Sports Complex, but for its lone representative 17-year-old Tishele Solis, the championships will be a great memory for her over the disappointments of her performances.

Initially Belize, located geographically in Central America, would have been the only member of the 26-member CARIFTA group not to be represented at the three-day meet, but news came on Friday, the day before the start of the event, that one athlete had showed up. Read more >>
