Local and regional cyclists are gearing up for the Bikeathon / Jamaica Challenge on Sunday, 2010 April 18. Bikeathon was first staged in 1995. This annual cycling event is staged by the Rotary Club of Montego Bay East under the theme “Cycling for a Cause” and is open to cyclists of all ages. Race categories include Recreational, Professionals and Amateur Cyclists. This year’s Bikeathon will also include a 5K Walkathon and 5K Runathon.
The Bikeathon / Jamaica Challenge is a charity event which provides ongoing education scholarships for young persons in secondary, tertiary and in vocational institutions. The event begins in Ironshore, Montego Bay at 7:00am.
