Blazing run at Jamaica Invitational delights Ashmeade

FORMER World Junior Championships silver medallist Nickel Ashmeade was a picture of calm after burning up the track to post a personal best and world-leading 19.95 seconds in winning the men’s 200m at Saturday’s JN/Jamaica International Invitational at the National Stadium.

Ashmeade, who is coached in Florida by Lance Brauman, upset the field of athletes, such as Asafa Powell, Steve Mullings, and last year’s winner, Nesta Carter. Read more >>
