There are a number of children in Hagley Gap who will not go to school this fall. They want to go to school but their parents cannot afford the needed supplies: backpacks, black shoes, pencils…  

To help these families Blue Mountain Project holds the Back2School Extravaganza each August. And we need your help filling backpacks with school supplies for school kids.

Our deadline is 8-01-2010, which will enable us to get the supplies to Jamaica in time for the Extravaganza.  Our Fun Camp staff will be carrying the donations with them when they go to Hagley Gap.

TO DONATE SUPPLIES: Check out the BMP Wish List on our  website then shop, clean out your closets, or run a drive in your neighborhood.  Ship the supplies to our SLP Coordinator, and include a list of items, donors’ names and addresses, and the monetary value of the donations (to facilitate tax donation receipts).

Order online and have Target ship the supplies directly to Haley, or look at the list and purchase the school supplies elsewhere.  Or purchase gift cards and let us do the shopping for you. You can also purchase gift cards from Staples or Wal-Mart, or other stores.
