This Friday we have an impromptu live guitar set happening in the store at 6:30pm – performed by Blue Diamond. Wind down from your week with a glass of wine, enjoy the music and of course check out a book like “The Consequences of Love” by Sulaiman Addonia -(A Romeo and Juliet story set in present-day Saudi Arabia), “Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie” by Alan Bradley (Mystery novel with a fearless and cheeky 11 year old sleuth) or the very topical “The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power” by Daniel Yergin.
These three books will be priced at 10% off this weekend, just because we feel like it!
Next Friday July 23rd, its a feast of poetry with “Heart Song: Poems of my Transformation” the new book from Blossom O’Meally Nelson. The book is poetry and art in a beautifully designed coffetable book – Art by Christopher Gonzales and Judith Salmon. Some on the poems will be performed by author Joan Andrea Hutchinson – wine, cheese, poetry.. yum!
Then on July 30 its the launch of The Last Warner Woman, the new novel by Kei Miller. Kei is the author of The Same Earth, Fear of Stones, The Kingdom of Empty Beliies, Theres an Anger that Moves… The reviews are off the chart for this one, and Kei is coming all the way from sunny (ahem) Scotland to share the evening with us, so please, do save the date.
