The Los Angeles based BoomYard dancehall-reggae party is set to present a much anticipated stage show at the upcoming Cali Vibes festival. The reggae music event produced by Goldenvoice has enlisted BoomYard producers to collaborate, curate and initiate discovery of Caribbean artists and culture. The festival installation is set to take place in Long Beach, California at Marina Green Park on February 4-6, 2022. The BoomYard stage, powered by Delicious Vinyl Island, will resemble the iconic outdoor Los Angeles pop-up party.
The three-day BoomYard stage will showcase performances by notable artists such as Mr. Vegas, Walshy Fire, Marlon Asher, Jesse Royal, Yaadcore, and a new wave of innovative future roots and Afrobeat artists such as Blvk H3ro, Runkus, Tessellated, Silent Addy, Projexx, Zac Jones, Naomi Cowan, selectors such as Jazzy T and DJ Delano from Renaissance, Blaq Pages, Mysta Crooks and more of LA’s finest Caribbean talent. The experience will offer a legit Jamaican atmosphere including vinyl and apparel merchandise for sale, as well as the Delicious Vinyl’s infamous pizza truck, known for well, delicious pizza.
BoomYard has become one of LA’s most genuine celebrations of reggae and dancehall music by paying homage to Jamaica’s inner city sound system culture. The BoomYard stage will include a bonafide sound system experience including selectors (deejays), MC’s and artists, as well as performances backed by a live band. The stage will be reminiscent of the Caribbean island’s much-loved street dances, stage shows and dancehall sessions, which is prevalent in the expression of reggae and dancehall music worldwide.
