BOTB ’11: The Countdown Begins!

The countdown is on for Best Of The Best Weekend 2011, which kicks off on Thursday May 26th in the City Of Miami. The longest running Memorial Weekend destination event, Best Of The Best regularly draws thousands of visitors from urban centers across the United States, including New York, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, as well as from the Caribbean, South America and Europe.

Produced by South Florida’s premier music and lifestyle promotions companies, Rocker’s Island and XO Management, Best Of The Best Weekend 2011 will be anchored by two blockbuster music festivals on Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th at Bicentennial Park (1075 Biscayne Blvd.) in downtown Miami.

Day one, dubbed Spring Fest, will feature the best of the best in contemporary R&B and Hip-Hop, including Miami native Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Jeremih, Miguel, Marsha Ambrosius (formerly of the duo Floetry), Travis Porter and Big Sean. Nationally syndicated radio personality and comedian Rickey Smiley will host with Russ Parr and Jabba of Massive B.

Dancehall icon, Shabba Ranks, will rock day two alongside some of the top acts in Reggae, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Soca, including Stephen and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, DJ Khaled, Vybz Kartel (who will appear with his band live via satellite from Jamaica), Tarrus Riley, Alison Hinds, Trina, Assassin, Etana, Sanchez, I-Octane, Ace Hood, Stephen McGregor, Chino, Richie Loop, Demarco, Gappy Ranks, Romain Virgo, Tifa, Big A.C., Qwote, Danielle D.I., ZJ Liquid.

Greater Miami and Broward County encourage visitors to partake in the beautiful weather, sandy beaches, and countless cultural landmarks and activities. The City of Miami Beach, home of the world-renowned South Beach and historic Art Deco District, also welcomes visitors to enjoy an eclectic mix of street cafes and restaurants, shopping on Lincoln Road, and an array nightlife choices, with official Best Of The Best Weekend events at Cameo, Mansion and Opium (Seminole Hard Rock) nightclubs.
