– BET’s Rap City Episode Featuring Buju Banton To Air This Weekend – (Kingston, JA/New York/NY – 8, December 2006) Gargamel Music, Inc. is pleased to announce that dancehall- reggae icon Buju Banton’s critically acclaimed Too Bad has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album of 2006.
Since it’s US release on September 12th, Too Bad has received rave reviews from the Associated Press, Billboard, Village Voice, Jamrock, The Source, Vibe, Riddim and many other prestigious outlets. The 2006 Grammy nod is Buju Banton’s fourth. He was previously recognized for the albums Friends for Life (2003), Inna Heights (1997) and Til Shiloh (1995). This year, Banton is also a featured guest artist on 2006 Grammy-nominated projects by Tego Calderon (The Underdog/El Subestimado) and Salif Keita (M’Bemba).

Buju Banton and his Shiloh Band will play tonight, December 8th at Amazura in Queens and tomorrow December 9th at the St. George Theater in Staten Island.
