DANCEHALL REGGAE ICON BUJU BANTON NOMINATED FOR TWO INTERNATIONAL REGGAE & WORLD MUSIC AWARDS

(New York, NY/Kingston, JA – 7, March 2006) Gargamel Music, Inc. is thrilled to announce that dancehall- reggae star Buju Banton aka Gargamel has been nominated for two International Reggae & World Music Awards: Best DJ/ Rapper (Male) and the Haile Selassie Award for Spiritual Service Through Music.
The honors come on the heels of Banton also being named Comeback Artist of the Year 2005 by daily newspaper the Jamaica Observer, for his steady barrage of smash singles in the dancehall and on the radio over the past twelve months. Buju, who is in Jamaica putting the finishing touches on his new dancehall album, says of the prestigious nominations, “It is truly a blessing to recognized for my works. I and I look forward to bringing the fans more music and more love in 2006.”
