Buju Banton Wraps “Driver A” Video Shoot In Brooklyn

Will Perform At Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony In Jamaica On Sunday

(New York, NY/Kingston, JA – 6, February 2007) Gargamel Music, Inc. has wrapped production on the hotly anticipated music video for Buju Banton’s hit single “Driver A.” Directed by rising young filmmaker Troy Antonio (“Magic City,” “Nothing” Refix), the clip was shot on location in and around Brooklyn, New York by esteemed director of photography Philip Martinez. Veteran reggae radio host Jeff Sarge stars as our hero “Driver A.” Actor Laurence Gates plays “Cop.” Actress Chyna Layne plays our “Mystery Lady.” And of course, Buju Banton is “The Boss.”

Special thanks goes out to our phenomenal cast and crew, and especially our vendor friends: Steven Krampf at Beau Brummell for hooking up Buju Banton’s dapper suit; David Annakie at Link Up Media for arranging the Ferrari; Lou Pepe at Mira Auto Body for providing the classic cherry checker cab–twice; Mary Kay Gallagher and Kaz at Mary Kay Gallagher Real Estate for use of the victorian house; Rohan and the incredible staff at Super Power Records for allowing us to shoot in the store. An extra special big up goes out to all the extras at Super Power Records for their enthusiastic participation.
