Staff WriterFT. LAUDERDALE – Local Caribbean radio station Mystik 1400 is hosting a day with the Dragon, the legendary Byron Lee, live on the air Thursday, October 19, 2006 from 7:00am-12noon.
Entertainers, Politicians, friends and listeners are going to be a part of this historical event by coming into the Mystik Studios located at 4431 Rock Island Road in Ft. Lauderdale, or calling into the Mystik hotline (954) 739-1426.
Byron Lee and The Dragonaires enjoyed the longest careers in Caribbean music, their existence spanning from the dawn of the ska era to the emergence of the contemporary Soca sound. The legend has wooed sold out crowds all over the world and still going strong today.
“It is an honor and a privilege to have Byron Lee in studio with us” said Mystik 1400 Program Director, Ron Burke. Byron Lee has also set up the most comprehensive recording facility in the Caribbean, welcoming such pop stars such as the rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, among others.
