The Caribbean Association of Georgia will be hosting our second workshop/seminar for this year.

On FRIDAY, APRIL 13, 2012 we will be conducting a COLLEGE PREP WORKSHOP featuring high school counselors, college professionals and business owners. This is intended to provide training to students and parents who need assistance applying for college, financial aid, or scholarships. Training and hands-on assistance will be provided in the following areas:
 
Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
College applications
College scholarships
College grants
Government loan programs
Other pertinent college information
 
We encourage all students to:

• Register for ACT by March 9, 2012   www. act.org
• Register for SAT by April 6, 2012     www.collegeboard.org
• Study for ACT and SAT.
• Bring a laptop to workshop (if possible)

We encourage all parents to:

• File IRS tax returns. This is required for filing the FAFSA.
• Assist children with ACT and SAT registrations.
• Encourage their children to apply for numerous colleges, universities and scholarships.
• Ensure that they speak to their child’s school counselor.
