The Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) has announced an August 8, 2013 deadline for scholarship applications for its 21st session later this year.
With a stroke or two of their pens, reporters, editors and young people could secure scholarships to attend one of the most sought-after media gatherings in the Caribbean.
Now in its 12th anniversary year, the 21st Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism (CMEx) will focus the next symposium on topics such as tourism growth and development, regional marketing, and the impact of the industry on youth, communities and the environment of the region.
The non-profit CMEx is finalizing the venue for the next symposium which highlights the energy and vigor of the media in the Caribbean, Latin America, North America and Europe, and exchanges experiences between media, young scholars as well as Caribbean and Diaspora leaders.
CMEx is an interactive networking forum which allows journalists and young leaders to interact with development specialists and representatives of the hospitality, civil society and government sectors.
Journalists and young people can apply for a limited number of awards. Full scholarships cover airfare, accommodation and registration, while partial scholarships cover accommodation and registration.
Application and General Registration Forms are available from the following link:
