The Caribbean Classics Stage & Screen Series kicks off with two pieces by women producers that mix film and poetry to sensitize and galvanize.

I Is A Long-Memoried Woman

Based on poems by Grace Nichols (Guyana). Directed by Frances-Anne Solomon (Trinidad).

Sweet Sugar Rage

Based on the work of Jamaican women’s troupe, Sistren Theater Collective. Followed by discussion with cast member Beverly Hanson.
