Tuesday June 7, 2011, was the dawning of a new day for Caribbean Gospel when Caribbean Faith Network (CFN) announce the launch of the first ever Satellite Television channel dedicated to Caribbean Christian television programming.

CFN is currently in test transmission mode, and will begin scheduled programming at 6:00 a.m. on July 1, 2011.

“We are very excited about this new opportunity,” said Peta-Gaye Walker, Operational Manager of CFN, “We are taking Caribbean Faith Network to a new dimension; God has given us the tools to take the vibrant Caribbean Gospel higher.”

Walker continued, “Our television lineup includes Religious programmes suitable for the entire family. The basic programming will include gospel concerts and music videos, church services and religious discussions. Christian producers, artists and ministers are invited to submit programming for consideration.”

The Christian community is also excited about the new venture, Dr.Rev Tommy Cowan O.D and Dr. Min Carlene Davis O.D, organizers of Fun in the Son, one of the largest Christian Music festivals in the Caribbean had this to say, ” Glory Music totally support this venture 100%.The Caribbean Faith Network is what is needed to spread the word of Jesus Christ to all nations of the Caribbean”

The network is broadcast via free-to-air via satellite, and is available across the entire Caribbean, South, Central and North America. The plan for the network originated after the founders examined the gospel television arena and realized that presently, the majority of the television stations that broadcast faith-based programming to the Caribbean originate outside of the region. This makes it practically impossible for Caribbean organizations to have a voice in their own market. CFN was therefore founded with its main focus providing Caribbean based and Caribbean focused faith organizations with a voice in their own market.

CFN will be available on local cable networks, or via a free-to-air satellite receiver and dish. This will bring new and exciting programming to millions of households.

Viewers are invited to contact their cable operators to ensure that they do not miss out on this new and exciting development in CaribbeanGospel.
