Takeyah A. Young, life style expert, health coach and retreat guide will be returning to Jamaica for the annual Women Only Yoga & Wellness retreat. Taking place in the hills of St. Ann, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the retreat will take place from October 4-8, 2012. An attraction for many yogis from all levels, the event has inspired women from the previous year, and invited special guests including food relationship coach, Shelley Chapman and entrepreneur, Akilah S. Richards.
A child of Trinidadian parents, Takeyah founded Core Connection Lifestyle 12 years ago, as a guide for individuals to embrace a holistic approach to life. A certified Holistic Health Coach as a result of her studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she is also a certified Yogi by way of Hatha/Vinyasa 200-hr training. Her Women Retreats are designed to expand knowledge on healthy living by learning to manage their daily activities and provide solutions to the challenges they face.
“It is a unique experience for the women who craves a deeper connection with herself”, said Young, “come learn from women who have transformed their lives from wounded and overwhelmed to authentically and holistically well.” Every women is encourage to participate and become a part of the many women who have stepped out of their comfort zone to overcome their fears and have concluded to glow from inside out.
The 4 night retreat consist of scenic and relaxing accommodations, yoga & wellness sessions, group excursions, airport transfers to/from venues in St. Ann and 3 daily meals. “ I wanted to be in a place that represents Jamaica, and Bromley is a private venue that offers culture and Jamaican food with a global flair,” says Young. She believes that the people of Jamaica are an important part of this trip and largely contribute to the authentic experience of being on the island.
The retreat cost is $1300 for double occupancy and $1700 for single occupancy, excluding airfare.
