The Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) at the University of the West Indies celebrates the 25th instalment of its summer school programme this year with new additions to its annual line-up.
The programme features seminars and short courses on media and communication, combining old favourites such as Public Relations and Radio Announcing and Presentation with new courses in Short Feature Production for Television and Intellectual Property and Business Law.
This year’s line-up boasts over 20 courses grouped in seven areas: Media Management; Radio, TV and Film; Writing Techniques, Journalism and Publishing; Public Speaking and Media Relations; Photography and the Internet; Communication and; the Mind, Movies and Money.
The courses target a wide spectrum of persons including media and communication professionals as well as people with no prior experience in the industry.
