Carl Lewis to run for New Jersey Senate

LOS ANGELES, USA (AFP) — Athletics legend Carl Lewis, who won nine Olympic gold medals for the United States between 1984 and 1996, announced plans yesterday to run for the New Jersey Senate.

The 49-year-old will represent his hometown of Willingboro by running as a Democrat in the eighth legislative district. Lewis is a native of New Jersey and is running in a district now held by Republican Dawn Addiego. Read more>>
