Casting Director Winsome Sinclair To Join Jampact Benefit Gala, June 29th, 2013, New York

Jamaica Impact, Inc. (JAMPACT) has confirmed that noted casting director Winsome Sinclair will be attending its C.H.I.C. Benefit Gala this Saturday, June 29th. Sinclair,who hails from Jamaica, is widely regarded as one of the most impressive talents in her field. In her more than 20 years she has worked with legendary directors such as Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, John Singleton, and Oliver Stone.                                     
 
Sinclair, upon hearing about the event and JAMPACT’s work from her manager, decided that she wanted to support their efforts.
 
“Being of Jamaican heritage, I am keen to support organizations that positively reflect Jamaica” she noted.
 
Sinclair’s credits include such films as Malcolm X, Waiting To Exhale, Inside Man, Miracle At St. Anna, and the Academy Award winning film Precious. Sinclair has run her own casting company for over 20 years and in 2009 joined forces with colleagues to form LEGACY MEDIA GROUP, a full service production company in New York.
 
The casting guru joins a list of distinguished attendees supporting the Benefit which aims to make strides in raising $100,000 in funds to rebuild one of JAMPACT’s adopted schools, the Maxfield Park Children’s Home Basic School in Kingston, Jamaica. The Consul General of Jamaica the Honorable Herman G. Lamont will also be in attendance as well as professional matchmaker Paul C. Brunson, the events keynote speaker and JAMPACT Impact Award recipient.
 
The Union of Jamaica Alumni Association (UJAA) will be honored with the JAMPACT Founders Award while Caribbean International Network (CIN) Television will receive the Community Service Award.
