CCJ 25th Anniversary & Jubilee Gala, October 27, 2012, Chicago

Chicago Concerned Jamaicans Inc. (CCJ) celebrates 25 years of excellence in light of Jamaica’s jubilee celebration of our 50 years of independence from Great Britain and World-Records broken in the 2012 London Olympics. As the people of Jamaica continue to strive and achieve great success for our native land, we hope you will take this opportunity to renew your support to the organization and help us continue that tradition of success.

As a nonprofit philanthropic organization, CCJ has always strived “to support education in Jamaica and the United States”. We see the potential in our students and desire to help them in achieving their academic goals. However, meeting the cost of education continues to be a serious challenge for our students.

Every contribution of any size to the Annual Fund is very important. Your support is also highly valued by the students who receive scholarships awards.

CCJ raises approximately 80% of its annual funding through our Annual Fundraising Gala, held each fall. CCJ usually sponsors two students currently in the program to attend the Gala and “tell their story” as to how the support from CCJ has changed their lives. This year, CCJ’s 25th Annual Dinner Fundraising Gala will take on place Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago. Jamaica’s own Lloyd Lovindeer will perform the songs we love so much including “Wild Gilbert” and Pocomania Day”. The guest speaker will be Herman G. LaMont, the Consulate General of Jamaica, New York.
