On Saturday, November 4, 2006, Chicago Concerned Jamaicans will celebrate their 19th birthday!!!
That is 19 years of providing scholarship assistance for the children to attend school in Jamaica.
This year’s Guest of Honor, Mr Michael Lee-Chin Chairman of AIC, Ltd & National Commercial Bank, Jamaica , Ltd.
As part of his vision to ensure that all Jamaican children have access to tertiary education, Mr. Lee- Chin recently lent his support to the creation of the Jamaican Education Initiative spearheaded by the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica. Under this initiative, NCB is donating one per cent of money spent on Keycards (NCB’s credit card) to a national education fund. The goal is to raise almost $50 million (Jamaican) to be used to create programs to eradicate illiteracy.
Come support CCJ’s 19th Annual Gala – where “EDUCATION – LIFE SKILLS FOR THE FUTURE” is this year’s theme.
