(March 31, 2006, Saint Albans, NY) Veteran reggae recording artist Carlene Davis will appear live in concert at “A Pre-Mother’s Day Gospel Extravaganza” on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the York College Performing Arts Center in Queens, NY. Hosted by the Centennial Committee of the Presbyterian Church of St. Albans, this concert is part of a series of events leading up their 100th Anniversary in 2007.
Known internationally as one of the most dynamic music ministers from the Caribbean, Carlene Davis will perform selections from her new CD “Rock Me Jesus” and songs of inspiration and praise from her previous recordings.Other talents being showcased include : the Presbyterian Church of St. Albans Men’s Ensemble, On One AChord Women’s Steel Orchestra, Women of Grace/Liturgical Saints Dance Ministry and the Ebenezer Wesleyan Christian Soldiers Step Team.
Showtime is 5:30 p.m. at York College Performing Arts Center, located at 94-45 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Jamaica, NY. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Group rates are available.
