Triple T Production has postponed Ocean Splash ‘009, a celebrity football (soccer) match and fun day planned for James Bond Beach this past Sunday, to a later date due to the weekend’s torrential rain fall. Triple T Production is looking forward to hosting Ocean Splash – The Refix in the new year, promising to make the event an even bigger splash than originally planned.
“Like many other events this weekend, Ocean Splash ‘009 also had to be postponed due to the weather,” states Tasz Smith of Triple T Production. “However, the island has been experiencing a serious drought, so we look at the rain as ‘showers of blessings’ which has brought relief to the island and has made way for us to come with an even bigger event for the new year. The Ocean Splash celebrity football match and beach party with live music and performances, and special giveaways is being rescheduled. Look out for information on Ocean Splash – The Refix which will be coming in the next few days.”
Ocean Splash ‘009 was billed as a family fun day with a celebrity football match featuring Reggae and Dancehall stars Spragga Benz, Aidonia, RDX, Delly Ranx, Mad Cobra, Captain Barkey, Anthony Cruz, Tony Curtis, Lukie D, Prestige, Jigsy King, Galaxy P, Mega Banton, Beetle Bailey, Ninja Kid, Little Chris, Mitch, Teacha D, Mr. Peppa, I-Octane, Vybrant, Kashu Man, Higher Boukie, Stikki, and Blacka Pride, lead by team captain Wickerman. Live performances from Dancehall’s ‘first lady’ D’Angel, velvet-voiced singers Terry Linen, and Anthony Cruz, Dancehall Soul diva Tanya Stephens, Roots chanter Prestige, and popular Dutty Fridaze dancers Dyema, Iyla, Marvin, and Back It Up were also scheduled. Music was to be provided compliments of Jam Rock Sound System and Dutty Fridaze’s Slim-J and Fire 20.
