New Dates For Group B Matches In The Digicel Caribbean Championships

All games involving Guyana, Suriname and Dominica will now be played over three consecutive days at the Guyana National Stadium

Georgetown, Guyana: Digicel, proud sponsor of Caribbean football, today announced new match dates for the Group B games of the Digicel Caribbean Championships (DCC) involving Guyana, Suriname and Dominica.  All three of these highly anticipated matches will now be played over three consecutive days at the Guyana National Stadium at weekend.

The opening clash between Guyana and Dominica will now take place on Friday August 8 while Dominica and Suriname will battle in game 2 on Saturday August 9. Guyana will then go head to head with Suriname on Sunday August 10 in the last game of the group.

The new dates are as a result of unforeseen flight difficulties experienced by Dominica.  Digicel has however secured air transportation for the Dominica team who will now arrive in Guyana on Thursday August 7.

Meanwhile the Guyana National Team continues to train at the Guyana National Stadium for their first match on Friday and Suriname are very much prepared for the upcoming games.

Group B of the Digicel Caribbean Championships is now set for kick off on Friday August 8 at the Guyana National Stadium.  The Digicel Caribbean Championships, which kicked off in Curacao on Sunday July 27, will run over a five-month period culminating in what is sure to be another exciting final in Jamaica in December.  For match pictures and further information visit www.digicelfootball.com
