Come January 2015, many secondary school students in Dominica will be better prepared to choose the right career after career awareness workshops presented by CHOICES Career & Education Advice.
The workshops, scheduled for January 26-28, will be facilitated by Mrs. Angela deFreitas, General Manager of CHOICES and will equip students with knowledge and skills to empower them in making good career choices.
Schools, students, parents and teachers are preparing themselves for the very interactive workshops which include animated presentations, games and videos which transmit a powerful message of how to know your personality and the right career match for future success in education and life.
This will be the first time that students in Dominica will be exposed to these workshops on subjects such as “Choosing The Right Career For You”, “Get Ready For High School Success” and “Preparing For Success in the Future World of Work”.
The students will do The Career Key psychometric test and will receive CHOICES Career & Education Magazines, both essential tools for secondary students.
The CHOICES programme is currently in use in schools in Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Vincent and The Grenadines.
