Christopher Martin’s stellar performance set the tone for Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2014’s opening night, held this past Thursday (Jan 30) at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium. On its first night, the annual 3-day music festival also featured performances by Marcia Griffiths and Friends, Beenie Man, Chronixx and more.

The Jamaica Observer gave Christopher Martin’s set a glowing review, raving that the talented reggae singer “had the early crowd eating out of his hands” and “spiced his set with a medley of songs from the past to earn a well-deserved response.”

Christopher Martin heads to New York City this week to start the initial planning for his 2014 album with VP Records.  On Sat. Feb. 8, he will perform at Amazura Concert Hall in Queens along with Tarrus Riley, I-Octane, Sanchez and Kranium.
