Brooklyn, NY — A new type of theatre has hit Brooklyn, inspired by Tyler Perry, Carylee A. L. McPherson and cary.calm productions presents “A Church’s Christmas Carol” at Boys & Girls High School, December 8th, 2007.
“Who ever knew that a church would have a Scrooge?” A Church’s Christmas Carol is not just another remake of Charles Dickens’ well-known version. This story is full of hilarity, suspense, emotions and situations that will leave the audience wanting more.
Produced by cary.calm productions, a Christian production company is devoted to promoting wholesome family entertainment. Motivated by Tyler Perry, whom she coincidentally shares a birthday with; Carylee A. L. McPherson is committed to writing plays with a message.
This Jamaican born 25 years old, has written, directed and produced other plays in church settings, which has earned her the nickname, in her community, “the female Tyler Perry.” Now venturing out to a larger more demanding stage, she hopes to have the same or greater success.
A Church’s Christmas Carol will make its stage debut at the Boys & Girls High School auditorium, on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 6:00pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, and are available at the following Brooklyn locations:
