This year’s Thanksgiving Dinners will be served up by its members, at the Getsemane Homeless Shelter (Rainbow Community Centre), 7133 Turner Lake Circle, Covington, Ga 30014 on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 4pm.

A very dynamic small business group, the CIBG, started this annual culinary Thanksgiving Event in 2009 which served over 100 residents and decided that this is a very excellent way of “giving back” to the Community of less fortunate.

CIBG is a diverse non-profit organization business network group which comprises of local Caribbean businesses in Covington, Conyers, Oxford and surrounding areas.  This is our 2nd annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless. As a united network the mission is to promote awareness of Caribbean small businesses within the community and aid in the development and improvement of the communities we live in.  The goal is to build a better future through the empowerment of entrepreneurship.

This year, CIBG’s menu includes: Cajun Fried Turkey; Stuffing; Jamaican Jerk; Chicken; Rice & Peas; Collard Greens; Macaroni & Cheese; Candied Yams;Toss Salad; Sweet Potato Pies; Pumpkin Pies.

CIBG will again be thankful for the opportunity to serve the residents of Getsemane Housing Shelter and continue to always move towards assisting when needs be.
