Staff WriterComedytainment was conceptualized as an event to promote and incorporate the synergies of Stand Up Comedy together with other forms of entertainment on the same stage offering a unique entertainment experience to the audience. The Event will also look to unearth and develop new and emerging talent, to enhance Comedy as a major part of the entertainment landscape in Kingston.
The entertainment aspect of the show is what differentiates Comedytainment from all others. We will feature other talented acts including but not limited to dancers, theatre artists, musical artistes, and magicians being showcased at each staging. The event will also be complimented of course with lots of music and giveaways.
The first of the Series was held in December 2012 with great performances from Comedians, Rohan Gunter, Dr. Michael Abrahams and the ever-refreshing Professor Nuts provided an evening of great fun and laughter for the patrons.
Radio Personality and Actor, Jerry Benzwick is resident host of the Comedytainment events, he will be joined on February 28, 2013 by Comedians, Dwight Samuels – from Comedy Buss fame, Volier ‘Maffie’ Johnson – Veteran Actor, Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley – who is celebrating 25 years as a performer and The Silver Bird Steel Band will be in full swing to top off a perfect night.
Part proceeds of the event will go towards various charities, which the producers, Imagine Dat Entertainment support.
