My Fellow Jamaicans:
As another Christmas dawns and surrounds us with the wonder and glory of a babe in a manger, as we recount for our children and grandchildren treasured traditions of old Jamaica including Christmas Market, Johnkunnu, Sorrel, Egg Nog, Christmas Cake and Pudding, as well as family and close friends. Whatever our memories, let us continue to hold Jamaica near and dear to our hearts, especially as our nation embarks on its 50th year of independence.
As we enter 2012, let us as a Diaspora resolve to renew out commitment to Jamaica Land We Love. Let us keep our nation and all its leaders in our prayers, as we ask for God’s blessing on the future of Jamaica.
