Up and coming singing star Hezron returns home to Montego Bay this weekend where he will have a pre-launch his debut album ‘The Life I Live’ at a fundraiser for his Alma Mater Cornwall College at the monthly Old Boys Linkup on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Jus’ Jammin in Ironshore, Montego Bay, starting at 6:00PM.
The funds raised will go towards assisting in the provision of alternative energy at Cornwall College. This includes making the buildings more energy efficient, changing to led lightings, installing solar security lights and eventually taking the school off the national electrical grid. Implicit in this is the sensitizing of the student body to the virtues of renewal energy and competency building in energy engineering.
Hezron is the consummate artiste, who is adored by females and highly respected by males and his music can be described as enchanting, mesmerizing, soothing, yet militant and hard hitting. His ability to simultaneously charm, captivate and motivate his fans, has definitely cemented his place as a rare and exceptional talent.
Hezron Clarke was born and raised during his earlier years in Moy Hall District, St. James, Jamaica and developed his talent being an ardent member of his church choir. His musical gift was evident to his family and friends who facilitated its development, however possible.
Hezron continued to expand on the dexterity of his vocals by travelling abroad and naturally transitioning into singing R&B. As his calling was deeply embedded in the rich Reggae music of his homeland, he was compelled to return to Jamaica to fulfill his true calling of being an outstanding Reggae artiste.
His most recent releases include Those Days (released late 2012), Hussle Afi Gwaan and Can’t Tek Di Pressure.
Hezron can be defined as one of the most charismatic, consistent and chart topping reggae artiste around. His determination, persistence, and discipline in staying true to who he is as an artiste and the true reggae music will ultimately take him to that pinnacle, where he so absolutely deserves to be.
Accompanying Hezron is his backing band Vice Grip and international recording artist Noddy Virtue who has made a name for himself since first coming to national attention on Rising Star.
