HALLS OF LEARNING LAUNCHES CREATIONS LAB

Kingston, Jamaica

Marvin Hall, Chief Educational Revolutionary of Halls of Learning, is once again exposing Jamaicans to the world of Robotics and Digital Music through the summer programme, “Creations Lab”.

Creations Lab will be offering 1-2 week in-depth courses in Video Game Programming, Robotics, Digital Music and 3D Animation. The courses are offered in collaboration with the University of the West Indies, DigiPen Institute of Technology, Lego Educational Division and the Robotics Academy at Carnegie Mellon University. Sponsors of the programme are NCB, Vickers One Corporation, Top5Jamaica.com, RETV and Music +. It seeks to expand on last year’s “Digi-School” and continue to stimulate creative minds.

This stimulating learning experience will be held at the University of West Indies Mona Campus, Jamaica from July 4-29, 2005. Courses are run daily from 9:30am – 4:30pm and children must be 10 years or older to attend. The cost will be JA$9,400 per child for a 1 week course and JA$18,800 for a 2 week course. There is no need for prior experience and all materials will be provided.
