The second annual Evenings of Excellence series, sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, will be held at the Miramar Cultural Center in the Miami area and Christian Cultural Center in New York this Fall.
Organizers confirmed that on Tuesday, October 21, the empowering event will be held at the Miramar Cultural Center/ArtsPark in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market (2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar, Florida), a venue created to celebrate creativity and diversity within the city.
The empowering series then moves to New York on Wednesday, November 12 at the popular Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn (12020 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, New York), one of the city’s dynamic worship and spiritual growth centers.
Both events are free and will feature presentations by Caribbean author, economist and motivational speaker Zhivargo Laing, who will be joined by other community notables to deliver inspiring messages of personal empowerment and economic prosperity.
To be held from 6 to 9 p.m., the overarching theme for the Evenings of Excellence will be building and leveraging the intellectual, financial, spiritual and cultural strength of the Caribbean- and African-American communities.
Attendees will enjoy musical entertainment, participate in hotel prize giveaways during the event, which will also include an awards component.
Four individuals will receive the Caribbean Media Exchange (CMEx) Leadership Award.
